Our South Burlington firefighters were also out for the Halloween festivities. Fire engines rolled into neighborhoods and firefighters handed out candy. South Burlington Police Officers Promoted

Deputy Chief Edwards, Sgt. MacDonough, Sgt. Ward, and Chief Whipple

Amidst their colleagues and family, two officers have been promoted within the South Burlington Police Department. Sergeant David MacDonough and Sergeant Dennis Ward were given the rank of Sergeant during a ceremony held on Friday. Both officers have been serving as acting sergeants for the City, and Chief Trevor Whipple was pleased to perform the ceremony which made the positions permanent. Sergeant David MacDonough joined the South Burlington Police Department in 2009, after serving the Shelburne Police Department and the Chittenden County Sheriff’s Office.
