Chamberlin Neighborhood & Burlington International Airport: Resolution, Letters, & Plans

The City of South Burlington, through its City Council, City Hall administration, and residents, has been in an ongoing conversation regarding the announced FAA Home Buyout Program announced in September 2016. The program identified 39 homes in the Chamberlin Neighborhood as eligible for participating in selling to the FAA, due to increased airport noise. K9 Officer Kaiser Laid to Rest

It is with deep sadness that we share with you the news of the passing of Kaiser, South Burlington Police Department’s faithful K9. Officer Kaiser served SBPD and the Vermont law enforcement community with full heart and soul from July 2008 until his passing last week. Kaiser did it all—he helped get drugs off the streets; find missing persons in inclement weather; and he was bar none, the most playful and energetic dog. Winter Weather Advisory – Today, Tonight, Tomorrow morning

The following information was shared from the National Weather Service. High Winds: We are anticipating a period of strong winds from mid-Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night. The strongest of the winds will primarily occur across the Champlain Valley, with frequent gusts of 35 to 45 mph during the period.  It is not out of the question that a few gusts over 50 mph may occur, especially closer to Lake Champlain between 6pm and midnight.
